BECOME A TRAINEE
Being a National Business Trainee means you will gain valuable working experience in a specific specialist field at one of our global offices and our headquarters in Denmark. As a National Business Trainee, you choose a field of specialty for the entire duration of the programme.
The amount of specialist fields and countries where we hire National Business Trainees varies from year to year. It is not guaranteed that all countries and specialist fields will be available every year.
Possible specialist fields include Retail Management, Tech Business & Development, E-commerce, Sales Management, PEOPLE (HR), and Global Supply Chain.

Your application
To give us a chance to learn more about you as a person and to put a face on your application, please send us a motivational letter in addition to your CV when you apply via our open positions on our job portal. If there are any specific requirements, these will be stated in the job add.
After sending your application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. You will hear from us within four weeks via e-mail, so keep an eye on your inbox.
The job interviews for the NBT positions will take place in January and February. We process applications on an ongoing basis, so we might start with the interviews already before the application deadline.
The focus of the interviews will be the following:
· Motivation for applying
· Personal skills
· Professional qualifications
· Considerations about moving abroad
· Expectations (yours/ours)
· Information about the job role, tasks, and the department
· Questions
If you are moving forward in the recruitment process, we ask you to conduct two assessment tools. The result will be shared with you and the recruitment team.
The final step before becoming a National Business Trainee involves the final assessment, our two-day online TryOut. During these two days, you will learn more about BESTSELLER, prepare a business case in groups, and present the results. There will also be a third interview with hiring managers.
After the TryOut, every participant will receive a phone call, where we inform them about our final decision. If you are offered an NBT position, the contract will be signed and the preparations for you moving to Denmark in June can start.
