This year, BESTSELLER reaches a significant milestone. Throughout 2025, BESTSELLER will celebrate its 50th anniversary together with colleagues, customers, and partners.

BESTSELLER was founded in 1975 when Merete Bech Povlsen and Troels Holch Povlsen opened their first shop in Ringkøbing, Denmark. Half a century later, what began as a single shop has evolved into the BESTSELLER we know today.

One shop has grown into more than 2,800 stores. One shop assistant in Ringkøbing has become a team of 24,000 great colleagues. And BESTSELLER, the company name adopted after acquiring a shop in Aarhus in 1980, is now part of many people's everyday lives.

Throughout 2025, we look forward to marking this journey and celebrating 50 years of BESTSELLER with those who have been part of it.
