As the first of its kind within BESTSELLER, the company is incentivising employees for sustainability goals, effective from 2025. The new initiative aims to motivate and accelerate the commitment to collectively transform the industry and bring fashion forward.
Increased commitment to key focus areas
Initially, the focus will be on accelerating a number of the 2025 goals that BESTSELLER has set and has been working towards in recent years.
The specific collective bonus targets, which are applicable in 2025, aim to help BESTSELLER achieve a range of goals related to material and supplier collaborations, all of which belong to core areas within the fashion company. Similarly, remuneration for BESTSELLER Management will also be dependent on reaching the targets. This is the first step and learning experience in directly incorporating sustainability into incentive models at BESTSELLER.
Still a long way to go
Launched in 2018, BESTSELLER’s Fashion FWD strategy guides the company’s strategy, goals, and actions to address our climate impact, to support the people in the value chain, and to prepare for a circular future.
Although progress has been made since the strategy launch with several targets reached, BESTSELLER acknowledges that its current sustainability progress is not advancing as anticipated towards our near-term targets 2025. The new sustainability incentives are introduced to accelerate this progress by motivating all BESTSELLER colleagues to face this challenge in a joint effort.
