Joining BESTSELLER TECH, you help us build great products and contribute to the continuous development and optimization of our buying & vendor collaboration processes. We do this by balancing and supporting demands from our business, understanding, and challenging complex processes and introducing modern technology and new ways of working. 

YOUR TEAM 
You’ll join our newly established TECH Buying team – a diverse and experienced group driven by curiosity, innovation and collaboration. We are not afraid to challenge the status quo and we’re passionate about delivering real value to the business. The team includes a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Analyst and Developers – and we work closely together to build end-to-end solutions that support product development and buying across BESTSELLER. 

YOUR ROLE 
As Backend Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing digital products that will replace our legacy ERP system. As our new team member, your responsibility will be to design and develop great solutions with all of us. More specifically, our team have an end-to-end responsibility for the processes related to product development and buying across BESTSELLER. 
Your day-to-day work will include: 

• Designing and developing scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot 
• Building and maintaining APIs and integrations across systems 
• Participating in architectural decisions and discussions around microservices and event-driven design 
• Ensuring code quality, testing, and documentation in line with best practices 
• Collaborating closely with your team and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions

You are a backend developer with a strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in building reliable and future-proof solutions. You’re passionate about clean architecture, scalable systems, and you enjoy turning complex challenges into simple, elegant solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment and take ownership of your work. You’re eager to grow, open to feedback, and motivated by being part of a team on an ambitious tech journey. 
Ideally, we are looking for the following qualifications, but the right attitude will get you far:   

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Java (preferably Java 8 or higher) 
• Solid experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs 
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL 
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
• Knowledge of or interest in Kafka and event streaming technologies
