YOUR TEAM
You will be joining the self-organized, agile team working on our servers and databases. We are a part of a larger team of highly skilled engineers and specialists with end-to-end responsibility within access, PKI, IDM, servers, and databases. We are key players in security related, performance, monitoring, and development projects.

We have a hybrid workplace, so your daily work will be carried out from one of our offices (Brande, Aarhus or Málaga) and online from where you are.

YOUR JOB
Together with highly skilled colleagues, you create the future of BESTSELLER’s IT infrastructure. The solutions and automations you together will lead to great designs, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our database performance. More specifically, your tasks include:

• Supporting the existing database operations, handling availability and performance issues, carrying out database refresh and copy, backup and restore
• Making database deployments for application teams based on the requirements and needs of the business through secure and optimal performance standards 
• Planning and carrying out lifecycle management activities to ensure that our database systems are on supported and secured versions
• Making sure that database assets are secured and compliant with security policies by applying regularly scheduled updates and patches
• Challenging the status quo and contributing to the continuous development of our ways of working, the technology we use etc.

YOUR PROFILE
You have experience within building and maintaining code to deploy and operate MS SQL and/or PostgreSQL - and perhaps one or more other DB systems combined with and eagerness to expand your knowledge within the field. You contribute to the team with your knowledge, and you inspire and support your colleagues. You thrive in a role, where you collaborate closely with colleagues with different backgrounds and nationalities across both the business and internally in BESTSELLER TECH. In addition, we are hoping for the following qualifications:

• Either a degree in computer science, engineering or similar, or you are a self-taught infrastructure wizard
• Knowledge of scripting, preferably in PowerShell
• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform 
• You might have knowledge of programming in Python and Go
• Knowledge of private and public cloud computing platforms (preferably Azure and Google Cloud)
• Experience with containerized applications and infrastructure (e.g. Kubernetes and Docker)
• Knowledge of DB systems , for example Oracle, MongoDB or My SQL
• General knowledge about server administration (Windows and/or Linux).
