Finance Business Partner

Do you want a finance role with broad business exposure, where you work close to the decisions that shape e-commerce performance? Are you comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and using your financial expertise to influence decisions before they are made?

Then this might be the Finance Business Partner role for you.

YOUR TEAM
You will join an international finance organisation based in Denmark, where our focus is controlling and financial partnering for BESTSELLER E-commerce.

The team sits in a matrix between Group Finance and E-commerce. You will report to the Head of Finance E-commerce, who works closely with both the CFO and the E-commerce leadership. This gives the role close exposure to senior decision-makers on both the finance and business side.

The E-commerce Finance team consists of ten colleagues: three Finance Business Partners, five colleagues in the core finance team, one Finance Specialist and the Head of Finance E-commerce.

BESTSELLER E-commerce supports our brands across more than 50 markets through our own webshops as well as partner and marketplace platforms. The environment is commercial, fast-moving and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on standardisation, optimisation and automation.

HOW YOU PARTNER WITH THE BUSINESS
In this role, you will work as a finance partner across E-commerce, connecting financial insight with commercial decisions across markets, brands and key business drivers. A large part of the role is about turning that insight into clear recommendations that help management make better decisions. You will work closely with both E-commerce and finance stakeholders in a matrix organisation, with exposure to senior decision-makers on both sides. This is a finance role that stays close to the business, not just the numbers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a proactive sparring partner for the E-commerce business on both strategy and operations
  • Owning financial performance follow-up for your area, including month-end, forecasts and budget
  • Translating financial data into clear insights that support decision-making across our brands
  • Supporting and improving finance processes and ways of working
  • Ensuring finance contributes directly to business impact, not just reporting the numbers

In practice, this could mean:

  • Assessing the return on marketing and commercial investments and challenging where the money is best spent
  • Analysing the profitability drivers behind returns, fulfilment and payment costs and building business cases for improvements
  • Evaluating the financial impact of new business and partner models as our brands explore new opportunities for growth

YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of the business. You know how to turn financial data into clear recommendations, and you are comfortable challenging decisions when needed.

You work well with senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships across functions and levels, and move confidently between financial detail and the bigger commercial picture.

We imagine that you bring:

  • A relevant master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or a similar field, or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience within finance, controlling, audit or a similar field
  • Experience with financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting and performance follow-up in a complex organisation
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power BI and ERP systems
  • The ability to identify business drivers and translate data into clear recommendations
  • Experience from e-commerce, retail or fashion, which is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken

WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU
