We’re strengthening BESTSELLER’s Group Reporting team and are looking for an experienced profile to join our team as Financial Controller, or Senior Financial Controller depending on qualifications. We are looking for a candidate who wants something different than deadlines and checklists – we give you the opportunity to take ownership, make an impact and play a central role in taking our global reporting setup to the next level.

YOUR TEAM
You will join our Group Reporting team consisting of four dedicated specialists responsible for preparing the BESTSELLER’s consolidated financial statements. The team is at the same time part of our Core Finance team, which comprises 30 finance colleagues managing the financials of BESTSELLER’s Danish entities, including the parent company, BESTSELLER A/S.

YOUR ROLE
In this role, you will take ownership of planning, preparing, and developing the processes for BESTSELLER’s consolidated financial statements. You will ensure the highest quality in our quarterly and annual financial reporting for more than 110 international entities within the group. You will foster collaboration and work to develop and implement principles and processes for our external reporting on a global scale.

Your tasks will among others include:

  • Drive and ensure accurate quarterly and annual consolidated reporting
  • Prepare financial statements for the parent company BESTSELLER as well as assist on the preparation of all other financial statements in close collaboration with our Group auditors on a global level
  • Develop, strengthen and own our internal control framework
  • Identify and implement improvements in our internal and external reporting processes as well as ensuring alignment on all principles and standards
  • Being a proactive sparring partner for management, stakeholders and colleagues across our global finance organization

YOUR PROFILE
You bring solid accounting expertise combined with a structured, detailed, and quality-driven mindset. You take ownership, challenge constructively and see opportunities for improvement where others see routines. You must also be comfortable operating in a global environment with management, stakeholders and deadlines all relying on you and the team to deliver on complex tasks.

In addition, we’re looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A relevant degree, such as HD-R, cand.merc.aud or similar
  • Experience from auditing and/or group reporting in a larger organization
  • Strong knowledge of consolidated financial statements and reporting processes
  • Experience with consolidation tools as well as other data tools
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
