DevOps Engineer

Are you a DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in platform engineering and a knack for building a state-of-art data platform?

We're seeking a dedicated DevOps Engineer to join BESTSELLER's Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and a wide array of stakeholders to build a state-of-arts data platform to support our D&A teams and brands.  

 

YOUR TEAM 
You'll be part of our Data & Analytics department consisting of 50 colleagues who all share the same passion for data and who actively drive the data agenda in BESTSELLER. We aim to deliver value to our end consumers, ensuring that satisfaction and quality are always on the radar. More specifically, you'll join a newly formed platform team of two dedicated professionals united in our mission to build a reliable data platform.

YOUR ROLE
As a DevOps Engineer within our Data Platform Team, you will play a critical role in building, optimizing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional teams to support the development, deployment, and monitoring of our data pipelines and applications. Furthermore, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of data pipelines, applications, and other platform components
  • Manage and monitor cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and performance for data processing and analytics tasks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, services, and infrastructure components 
  • Employ best practices for security, scalability, and data governance in all aspects of the platform
  • Work with modern data technologies, including Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT, to streamline data processing workflows

YOUR PROFILE
If you are passionate about cutting-edge technologies, data platform engineering, and driving impactful business solutions, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and collaborative team. To succeed in the role, you also possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Platform/DevOps Engineer, preferably in a data-centric environment
  • Experience with technologies such as Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks, and DBT is a strong advantage
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure (experience with AWS or Google Cloud is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and configuration management tools
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with Github Actions, Circle CI, or similar tools
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automating tasks and creating tools
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., DataDog) for maintaining platform health
