Retail Lease & Expansion Manager

As a part of VERO MODA’s strategy, we are expecting to grow our network of stores substantially. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced and highly driven individual to take on a position that is crucial to our success.

THE DEPARTMENT
At VERO MODA Retail, we are dedicated to developing and supporting our VERO MODA stores with everything from improving topline, daily operations., optimizing cost structure and overall improving the consumer journey. Reporting directly to the Finance & Business Intelligence Manager, you take the lead of driving the expansion strategy in close cooperation with our Retail Country Managers in the markets and our local expansion managers. THE JOB
As our new Retail Lease & Expansion Manager, you will take the lead in location development processes, scouting and acquiring new retail locations for VERO MODA. These tasks will be carried out in close cooperation with our local expansion teams, including:

  • Checking and analysing location offers in close collaboration with Business Controllers and Country Retail Managers
  • Setting up best practice standards for contract content
  • Developing the expansion strategy and ensuring its effective communication and execution across markets
  • Building relationships with local expansion teams, real estate agents, property owners, and other market players
  • Preparing and checking lease contracts, including negotiating them in collaboration with national BESTSELLER Expansion teams
  • Maintaining current lease agreements, keeping a structured overview of portfolio status and planned actions

YOUR PROFILE
Given the extensive interaction with internal and external partners, exceptional relationship-building, development, and maintenance skills are crucial. Your ability to leverage your network and experience to identify and secure prime locations for our future stores is essential to your daily tasks. Negotiations and lease finalization are your responsibility, demanding strong and persistent negotiation skills, always prioritizing business interests. Your days will be fast paced, necessitating the ability to thrive under pressure without sacrificing work quality and accuracy. Ultimately, you are passionate about travel and meeting new people, fuelled by the knowledge that your work directly contributes to business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in location acquisition/expansion
  • Strong knowledge of lease contract arrangements
  • Solid commercial and financial understanding
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Driver's license
  • German language skills at negotiation level and retail experience is considered an advantage
