YOUR IMPACT
As our Marketplace Manager, you will have the opportunity to build and lead the team for marketplace sales in ONLY E-commerce. The marketplace operations are centered around Zalando, About You, Amazon etc. which will be a vital part of the business and growth in future years. Currently, marketplaces have been operated as a part of the E-commerce Business & Finance team but will from now on be setup as a separate function within the department. This new position is therefore a unique opportunity to become responsible for this key business area.You will be responsible for building the team, securing profitable growth, and identifying new opportunities both on existing and new marketplaces. Furthermore, you will become part of the management team in ONLY E-commerce and have direct reference to the E-commerce Manager. More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring profitable operations of partner platforms
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partner platforms like Zalando and About You
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing performance
  • Identify and implement initiatives and strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability on partner platforms. It will be your responsibility to secure and optimize operational efficiency
  • Ensuring individual assortment strategy for each marketplace platforms
  • Analyse sales trends and decide on assortment needs in cooperation with the buying team
  • Continuous optimization of visibility on the sites, ensuring that our product offerings are best exposed and that the algorithms are utilized optimally
  • Ensuring that the product range is updated and seasonally appropriate, as well as being responsible for the on- and offboarding of products
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement e-commerce growth strategies based on data analysis and insights. Bestseller has a central function for marketplace integrations, with whom you will be in close contact.

YOUR PROFILE
You are probably already familiar with one or more marketplaces and the operational aspect of these. You furthermore possess a strong analytical mindset and are motivated by taking responsibility and leading growth. You are characterised by a will to succeed and a result-driven approach, as well as being strong in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. With the department's goals firmly in your sights, you will work with determination and focus, building the team with relevant competencies, but are also ready to take on part of the operational tasks yourself. More specifically we are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience with trading on marketplaces preferably Zalando and/ or About You.
  • Understanding and knowledge of an online fashion business.
  • Experience in leading and managing strategic projects
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within sales, fashion or marketplace operations, preferably within e-commerce.
  • Experience in leading and managing strategic projects
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Master’s degree in economics, Finance, or a related field is preferred
