We're establishing a new Retail Buying organisation in Denmark. By bringing buying decisions closer to our retail business, we aim to react faster to trends and consumer demand, create more relevant assortments and strengthen our performance across markets.
JACK & JONES operates more than 700 stores across 19 markets in Europe and the US, and we continue to expand our international retail business.
We’re looking for a Head of Planning & Buying to take overall responsibility for building this setup and ensuring that product, planning and commercial performance come together to support our continued growth.
YOUR TEAM
You will join JACK & JONES Retail in Brande, Denmark, and report to the Retail Director. You will work closely with colleagues across Retail, Product, Sales, Marketing and Visual Merchandising, while building strong partnerships with stakeholders throughout our international organisation.
You will manage a team of approximately 12 colleagues across Retail Planning & Buying, and together, you will turn consumer demand, market insights and commercial ambitions into actions that create results.
YOUR ROLE
As Head of Planning & Buying, you will define the strategy for how JACK & JONES plans, buys and commercialises its retail business across international markets.
You will translate consumer demand, market insights and business ambitions into commercial decisions that drive growth and profitability. Working closely with stakeholders across countries and functions, you will drive alignment between product planning, strategy and business performance.
At the same time, you will manage and develop the Planning & Buying function, creating the structure, collaboration and ways of working needed to support our continued growth.
You will:
- Define and drive the overall Planning & Buying strategy across international markets
- Manage, develop and set the direction for the Planning & Buying function
- Build a strong foundation of analysis, data and structure across the Planning & Buying function
- Drive commercial decision-making through strong planning, buying and forecasting
- Turn consumer and market insights into actions that support growth and profitability
- Create alignment across countries and functions to ensure strong commercial execution
- Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, collaboration and ways of working across the organisation.

YOUR PROFILE
You are a commercially minded leader with experience from the fashion industry. You understand the connection between product, consumer demand and business performance, and you know how to create results through both people and commercial decisions. With a structured approach and strong stakeholder management skills, you thrive in an international environment where collaboration and ownership go hand in hand. In addition, you:
- Bring at least 5 years of experience from a commercial leadership role within fashion retail, buying, merchandising or planning
- Have experience managing and developing teams in an international organisation
- Combine strong commercial understanding with analytical skills and a solid understanding of planning and forecasting disciplines
- Understand how product, trends and consumer demand translate into commercial performance
- Are comfortable navigating both strategic discussions and operational realities
- Are fluent in English, both written and spoken – any other language skills are considered a plus.
