Design Assistant

We’re looking for a creative and dedicated Design Assistant to join our team in Brande

YOUR TEAM
You join our international JACK & JONES Design team, driven by a clear ambition: creating authentic, contemporary menswear. Your keen sense for design, colour, style and details enables you to design and create collections for JACK & JONES PREMIUM/AUTHENTIC.

YOUR ROLE
As design assitant, you will be part of creating our collections working closely with the Design Manager and the team across Design and Buying. From idea creation and initial sketches to supplier dialogue and preparation of styles for production.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • Trend & product research, including contributing to a clear and consistent visual identity across collections
  • Preparing style sheets, technical drawings, colour charts and detailed design descriptions
  • Daily collaboration with designers on collection development, including ongoing dialogue and alignment
  • Close sparring with the Buying team on development and sample feedback
  • Preparing styles for production in dialogue with designers and purchasing, while continuously optimizing fit, materials and details
  • Handling ad hoc tasks, including organizing and updating collection overviews

You're into fashion and turning what you see into products that work in the market. You stay close to trends, brands and influencers, and translate that into designs with a sharp eye for detail. You work well with others, keep momentum in a fast-paced setup, and know how to juggle tasks without losing structure or direction. And you show up as the kind of colleague people rely on, hands-on, supportive and creatively inspiring.
Additionally, we hope you bring:

  • Relevant educational background or work/apprentice experience within Design
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Knowledge within Generative AI Design
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonel skills

WORKPLACE LOCATION
You will be based in Brande, Denmark. Travel activities may occur in connection with trade fairs, supplier visits etc.
