From Málaga to Denmark: Santi’s Journey Through Sales Academy

When Santiago Muñoz talks about the Sales Academy, there’s no corporate script. No buzzwords. Just honest reflection about a chapter that, as he puts it, changed his life.

Santi, originally from Málaga in southern Spain, joined the programme not just to grow professionally, but to develop himself personally. “My motivation was to keep growing — not just in my career, but also as a person,” he says. And the JACK&JONES & JJXX Sales Academy, he adds, “offers much more than professional development; it’s also a unique opportunity for personal growth.”

From the very beginning, it was clear this wasn’t your average programme. The programme didn’t just open the door to a big company - it made you feel part of something. At JACK&JONES’s headquarters in Denmark, Santi was able to see firsthand how departments like sales. “You can see the day to day life of a company like ours up close,” he says. “It’s a very enriching programme, but getting to know the company from the heart of its facilities in Denmark is a unique experience.”

Learning by Doing - and Growing While You’re At It

Being in an international environment also gave him something that’s hard to define, but easy to feel - a sense of belonging to something bigger. The friendships and professional network he built have stayed with him ever since. “Having the ability to solve problems in my country thanks to the relationships forged in Denmark has been a differentiating factor in my growth,” he says. “Having the contacts I’ve built in Denmark to help me when I need them is a huge advantage.”

That sense of connection didn’t stop with his peers. Throughout the programme, Santi felt strongly supported by the people at the head quarters. The people dedicated to this training who put their knowledge and effort at the service of the international sales trainees who are part of the programme,” he says. “I have only received good advice and knowledge.”

The JACK&JONES & JJXX Sales Academy was designed to be dynamic. Theory wasn’t something you stored away for later. You were expected to use it - immediately. “It’s a very dynamic programme… where theory is immediately put into practice,” he explains. That constant rhythm of learning and doing helped Santi discover a new version of himself. “Here I have discovered my best version,” he reflects. “I have learned values and to give my all to later enjoy the good results.”

From Training To Impact

It paid off. Today, Santi works as a Sales Planner for the Retail Partners Spain channel - one of the most mature and important markets in his region. It’s a role that allows him to lean into the strategic side of sales, particularly through JACK&JONES’s NOOS (Never Out Of Stock) programme. “Here I have been able to apply the knowledge acquired in the programme and elevate my position to another level,” he says. “NOOS occupies a key place in this programme. I can improve the numbers of this channel thanks to what I learned.”

The transition into his new role came quickly after starting the Academy. In fact, he’d set his sights on this kind of position from the very beginning. “Product and strategy planning in Retail stores was my objective from the start,” he explains. “Thanks to the programme, I quickly caught the attention of the Retail Spain department. They proposed that I could join its team a few months after starting.”

Looking back, Santi is clear-eyed about what made the difference: the opportunity to learn, the chance to be seen, and the responsibility to deliver. And that’s exactly the kind of advice he’d pass on to anyone thinking about applying: “Enjoy the programme, learn, and integrate in the best way possible into the central office.
